Bald Eagles in Baytown

There hasn't been a lot different on the property lately. A Northern Flicker has come into my backyard a few times to eat some of the tallow berries. I keep hoping he'll find my feeders, but so far has not. The Pine Warblers are still coming around in good numbers. Last week I had five at a time out there. The American Goldfinches still flock to the feeders. They'll still come to the feeders for three more weeks or so. I'm still waiting for the Purple Martins to return. I really don't expect them before the middle of the month, but I still keep my eyes and ears open for them! I'm really excited about my second year as a martin landlord.

A pair of Bald Eagles has built a nest in Baytown near the Evergreen Golf Course. The kids and I went out there on Sunday, Jan. 31. Here are a couple of pictures I got of the one eagle that was there and the nest.
